Edinburgh Based Jewellery & Sculpture Maker
Saskia Gavin uses shapes and forms from her environment to make jewellery and sculpture from mostly silver and copper. She is particularly attracted by rhythms created by repeated elements. Saskia makes rings, necklaces, brooches and earrings both for everyday adornment and for special occasions.

“Making jewellery is like creating sculpture on a wearable scale. Its purpose is to adorn and decorate, but more importantly, it serves as a talisman. The wearer can touch it, stroke it, feel it, reminding them of particular emotion, recalling an achievement, perhaps an anniversary or a feeling of being loved.”
